Vim Text Editor Tutorial
Vim, short for Vi IMproved, was created by Bram Moolenaar in 1991 as an expanded version of the vi editor Bill Joy wrote for BSD Unix in 1976. It keeps vi’s core philosophy of modal editing while adding modern features such as syntax highlighting, multiple undo, plugin support, and split windows.
